Saturday centus ~ The journal

Happy New Years everyone ... i hope the next trip around the sun brings you peace, joy and happiness ... just be peace, be joy and be happiness and it will all be there for you. ... I'm starting the year off with another Satuday Centus post. You all know the drill ... i write something under 100 words and incorporate Jenny's fab prompt ... this week the prompt is "Her crumpled up list of resolutions..."

Status      my new years resolution is to spend less time on fb

Ciara      ha! Like that will happen

AJ           I bet it lasts less than a day

She         pulleeze I do have some self control

Kelli       hey no! I’ve been shopping with you, what self control?

She        okay self control when it comes to fb

AJ         you’re on here right now … how’s that resolution working for you now?

She       errr…

She spotted her crumpled up list of resolutions on the floor and wondered if she could tape them back into her new and so much more private moleskin journal and start all over.

Oh yes, a moleskin journal is SO much nicer than Facebook!!!!

Here's how much time I spend on Facebook--it wasn't until I read Bookie's comment that I figured out what you were talking about! I do, however, love moleskin!
Happy New Year, Jo!

I'd go for the moleskin journal too!

Unfortunately my addictive personality won't allow me the luxury of giving up FB any time soon...Oh, and don't you just love the smell of a new journal with those crisp white pages just waiting for your inner voice to write out loud? Great Centus.

A journal is so much more suitable for you Ms. Jo. Love how you're embracing the Centus.

This made me laugh out loud. FB really is addictive, I'm trying to spend less time there myself. Of course, as I type this, FB is lurking on another tab .... Kat

Interesting centus on several levels. Here we have a comment on how the new technology shapes out everyday lives. I have written journals/diaries, whatever you want to call them, since I was twelve years old. I like writing longhand in a little privat book that is only mine. I'm new to FaceBook, and I am not completely comfortable with it. I use it because it is one of several ways of telling the world that I have done something with my jewellery shop on Etsy. I have several old friends on it, but I still perfer the old way of keeping in touch.
I like the fact that you chose one of those nice moleskin notebooks as your alternative. I write on /have written on old envelopes, napkins, whatever. But if you really care about your content, you may as well put it down in a nice moleskinn book.
Lovely centus!
Happy 2011!

Hilarious!

Its like going to a bar to announce you're quitting drinking or a bakery to say you're going on a diet, but with the social element of fb it doesn't sound quite the same.

Well done!

LOL, that's one thing I'm still resisting - Facebook. Several people have asked me to join but I haven't. Great job with your Centus. Very current.

FB can suck the life right out of you if you let it. I quit it cold turkey and feel so much better for it. Too many people divulging every minute of their life on there. Who cares! Loved your take on this prompt. Looking forward to less holiday themed prompts in the future!~Ames

Jo, First, thanks for taking the time to comment on my post.

This Centus is spot-on. Love the conversational tone! I only visit fb about once every two weeks. If I got all involved in it, I wouldn't have time for this!

Namaste..........cj

Funny! Although I'm way too addicted to my blog to waste much time on FB.

I think I'm allergic to FB...this actually gave me minor hives...

BUT...

It also gave me major pleasure because it was so ridiculously cool.

You are amazing.

What a clever and creative use of this prompt.

An amazing beginning for 2011!

Thanks for writing.
