Imagine …
All the people …
Imagine peace … sometimes I do … I sit and I meditate on
peace, trying so hard to see what it would look like … what the world would be
without weapons, fear and hate … I see a beautiful world, with rich red soil
and lush vegetation … and under a large tree, sit all of the world peace
leaders … meditating and teaching us all by their example… I see a world where
no one’s ego needs to satisfied by power, where there is no poverty, where one
nation helps another because its just the right thing to do …
And then I wake up and realize that there will never be
world peace … that the human race is always ready, willing and able to hate and
to fight …
We are such a sorry species … but I will continue to
Imagine, continue to meditate and hope for peace.

I feel the same. We will evolve or perish. I don't think we can afford to continue the way we are and have anything survive! ~ Maureen
I think this is a good thing to imagine...if you can imagine it, you can help make it so, also. It starts in small ways with each of us. Keep the faith!
Just imagine - if we all imagined peace!
what a wonderful rainbow! ☺
Different species of animals have found peace--like the elephant who became best friends with a dog, and a lioness, who instead of killing a baby dear-like animal, nurtured it when its mother died. She did this NOT ONCE, but several times. Maybe the animals know something we don't.
wonderful photo - love the caption "peace in a storm"
What a thoughtful "I" post -- just perfect!
Peace is my special word for 2012!
That is a beautiful rainbow!!
Thanks so much for visiting my Shabby Cottage! Really love your blog and the photo of the rainbow. Warm hugs, Esther
If only all the world could come together ,I dream of peace to my friend.

We are a sorry species some times; so amazing in form, creative in mind, gifted in talents, able to love ... and we (i) can be so self-focused and hurtful. It is sad that we as people can strive after power and choose to do terrible wrong. i'm sure this breaks God's heart. i love rainbows.
You know I agree with all of this 100%. I can't help wondering when the human race will bottom out and wake up to the fact that life is wasted without peace.
On a macro level, I agree with you. On a more personal level, there are people who dedicate themselves to peace and live life accordingly. Pity the world can't live like the best individuals!
certainly a thing to contemplate, to dream of, to hope for. Please keep dreaming.
love your photo! the perfect illustration.
I would love to have your imagination. A world without hate would be a wonderful thing. If we eliminated hate we might be able to eliminate war.
A beautiful photo and caption. I agree with everything you say.
There may not be peace in our lifetime, BUT ...I feel empowered knowing that I can create peace in my small part of the world, and I reach out to give a touch of peace to others. Kindness begets kindness, and if we all pay it forward, who knows what may happen!
Someday it will be...and we should work toward that end.
What a beautiful post Jo.
It makes me sad and hopeful and thoughtful and weepy...all at once!
Wouldn't it be an amazing world if everyone could put aside their differences and work toward this?
Thanks for such a thoughtful link for the letter I.
