O is for .... Oops

As in Oops .... I didn't quite get to my "O" assignment .... Mrs. Matlock, Mrs. Matlock ... the dog ate my homework .... seriously ... she did ... honest truth .... would I lie to you???

True story ... our dog once at my daughters homework ... it was a paper in an AP course in senior year ... my daughter left it on the stairs next to her backpack, we went out and upon our return there were shreds of paper everywhere ... sadly it was a completed paper that she got an amazing grade on and she wanted to keep it because of the wonderful comments she had from the teacher.

Okay, so i chew paper ... there's not too many things i can get rough with at my size.

Mrs. Matlock, see .... it does happen.

Another true story ... our dog confounded and amazed me today .... we lock her in the basement in our little storage room/craft room when we go out ... she is comfy there and spends lots of time there when i am crafting, or doing laundry. I come home ... usually she barks when she hears the garage door go down ... no barking. I put my key in the door, again ... no barking. Now I'm getting nervous because she always barks to greet us ... i enter the basement ... i can't see her ... i call her name ... and finally i hear a yelp. I look in the direction of the yelp and up on the second shelf of the shelving unit (and this is one of the black heavy duty plastic units that home depot sells for garages) way up on the second shelf inside of a white storage box is my dog ... yes all 4 1/2 pounds of her emitting terrified little yelps and shaking like a leaf. So how did she get up there? and get in that box? and what was going through her itsy bitsy teeny weeny mind??? I guess we will never know, but she was sure terrified ... and I was completely astounded ...

Just call me Houndini!

And yet another true story ... Jenny was having a giveaway and the prize was Julie Schuler's book "On a Windy Night" ... it is soooo coool!!! you can tell its cool by the sheer volume of o's in those two words ;) but it is, very cool ... the art is intriguing and dark and imaginative and just very brilliant! Thanks so much again Jenny for the giveaway and thanks so much Julie for the signed copy. I love it.

Oh ... my "o" word .... it's out. yes, out ... remember that post i did for "I" ... where i felt like i was always going "in" through the out door ... yeah ... that one ... well this post is OUT ... so it's kind of the opposite of the In post, but not quite .... it's a bit different in it's own way and almost the same but opposite ... yeah ... "Out through the in door ... that's me!

And for everyone who left comments on my "Nice" post ... thanks so much, i really enjoyed reading them and they were all so genuine and heartfelt and its lovely to get such wonderful communication from you all!

Once again coming to you from the uber fabulous Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday Meme ... if you haven't explored this meme you just must ... it is cooool .... that's right ... cooool!!!

Awe, how cute am I in my totally cool bandana

That poor little bugaboo. She must have been terrified. Glad she's no worse for the wear. I'll bet she'll never do whatever it was she did to get up there again.

OMG, I wonder how the dog got on the second shelf. What a mystery LOL. The only good thing about the dog chewing up the homework at least it was graded. Poor her if it wasn't and she had to tell the teacher that the dog really ate it.

What an Outstanding O post.

How did she get in that box. Were you working on something and didn't see her...although that sounds pretty far fetched.

What a fun post!

I really enjoyed smiling through this whole stop on Alphabe-Thursday's journey through the letter "O".

And Julie's book is cOOOOOOOOl, isn't it?

I'm glad you liked it!

What a cutie she is. I am laughing that she actually ate homework. At least it was graded and not something needing to be turned in. hehe.
