Under my umbrella ...

ella, ella, ay, ay, ay ...  the first of a list of Rihanna songs that i really don't like at all ...
so okay, lets skip that little rant and save it for another day ... what i really wanted to do today was to shoot the view under my umbrella ... but it turned out to be a very very blustery day and i didn't want to have my umbrella blown inside out ...

so here is the view from my umbrella today ... or what it might have included ... outside one of my favourite haunts ... a little place called Coggs, that has some of the greatest antique bits around ... and the place is full of .... well coggs .... great big very old wooden coggs ... its sends me dreaming of living in a loft with a brick wall large enough to house some of the big old wooden cogs ... and there is a typesetters set of drawers that i am lusting over ... it's huge ... and dies ... i need them all because they look cool ... okay, back to the what would have been the view from my umbrella except that it was blustery ...

and here is the view from my umbrella on the day my lovely daughter bought it for me!

Now skedaddle over to Jenny's and read some other tales of U ... just click on the button below!

I love your umbrella! That is a very nice pattern of flowers . I never get to use an umbrella much because it doesn't rain too often but it's a good investment and I would spend a lot on one if it rained more often :)

Hahaha! I LOVE your umbrella! I also love how sweet you are for mentioning me in your post the other day. I am so proud of the piece you made, and everyone who has seen it just loves it! I am going to frame it next week and have it up in my bedroom by the time Rod gets back from New Orleans. You are such a special and dear friend!

Oh what a great U word, and a neat way to share the fun antique shop! We have had a few of those blustery days that would have turned an umbrella inside out or sent it's carrier sailing off into the sunset...and it's just the first of MARCH!

In Belgium people should be born with an incorporated umbrella on their heads ! it rains all the time !

We don't have a great need for umbrellas out here in the desert, but I keep one in my truck and love it when I get to use it!

very cool....

I've bookmarked the Cogg's site for future reference! The next time I work on the mainland I may just have to get off the highway and drive into Burnaby. I usually manage a detour into Fort Langley too!

This looks like a store I would love to go visit with you!

I suspect we could putter there all day and end up cramming our car trunks full of treasures!

Loved your perspective for this post.

A wonderful stop, indeed, on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter 'U'.

A+
