Kindred Spirits ...

Mona Lisa Mae has found a kindred spirit in the lovely Christmas sock monkey ornament ... she climbs up the tree and sits on the branches just below her new friend, who hangs from a red ribbon ... they communicate all day long ... i wonder what they are saying???

you can click on the picture to make it larger
I have a friend i call my kindred spirit ... we can talk all day ... and then not for weeks, and then just pick up without missing a beat ... and its always good ...

This quick little post is brought to you by the letter K and the amazing, wonderful, talented and oh so generous Jenny Matlock and her alphabe-thursday meme ... make sure you stop by and visit some of her "students" ... it's always fun!

I'm glad Mona Lisa Mae has met her kindred spirit. I have one too and she is a priceless treasure.

Have you taken MLM to see Santa yet?

How wonderful Mona Lisa Mae has a new playmate. Just make sure you don't pack her away with the tree or Mona Lisa Mae won't have anyone to talk to.

I'm glad you have yours and ML has hers. It's hard not having one.

I almost bought a ML-like monkey over on the Hunger Site. All of them were knitted in one color. How could I buy a one-color monkey after seeing Mona Lisa's brilliance?

Oh she wants to know where he got that beautiful star he's preciously hanging on to.
He's telling her his story, of how it was such a difficult challenge, it took days and nights and a lot of sweat and tears but he managed and now he's never going to let it go but keep it shining for everyone to see.

I have a friend like that, too. I think it is quite remarkable that we can pick up where we left off. We have been friends since the second grade.
Tell Mona Lisa Mae to behave herself now!!

How fun! I had a friend in high school. We moved to different parts of the country. We didn't see each other and basically exchanged only Christmas cards. Years passed. I traveled to her part of the country and arranged to see her. It was just like that. instant connection. I remember thinking to myself, "That's why I liked her back then. She's just as wonderful now."

Mona Lisa is a lucky girl, to have such a kindred spirit! Isn't it wonderful to have those friends you are able to pick up with right where you left off?

I think that like true friends they are saying nothing and everything.

This was a sweet, sweet post this week.

Thank you for making my heart smile.

It was a good day for joy!
