If you said violet ... well then you are dead wrong ... she went with a black and white scheme ... painting over hotpink and black ... all i can say is that that Behr's all in one primer and paint works really really well ... love it ... sadly this paint project has taken me most of the week ... i don't know how professional painters manage to do something like this ... i had little bits of black sneaking on to the white walls and vice versa ... and then i would have to take a teeny tiny paint brush to correct it ... it was very picky work ... and we finished just now ...

I just painted my daughter's bedroom from screaming wild green to white. She is not sure she likes it...yet. I know one thing: if she wants it another color she will have to do it herself! LOL Thanks for sharing the pictures. I agree that violet,mauve, purple and certain colors of blue are difficult to differentiate!
no debate from me. Violet is not blue. ok a little debate. I like the purple easter egg, very vibrant!
That "violet" motorcycle is great! And, I agree, violet is violet...at least, all the stuff I read said so...it's not purple which is a combination of blue and red!! So, you are absolutely right.

Love that bike, but I'm terrified of them. But they are so cool looking :) I love the Behr paint/primer combo - I recently painted DD's VERY purple room a lovely soothing blue. It covered like a charm. Thanks for your comment on my "violet" - I really had nothing this week and it just popped into my head!

Nothing lame about it...you found some fine examples. Even though I would not get on that motorcycle, it still looks cool:)
I used to ride a motorcycle years ago but on the back lol. Great violet pictures. Again I'm absent from Alphabe-Thursday, for shame lol.
I had to laugh when I read your post, I paint for a living mostly faux and murals but I'm really fast, I amaze my customers. I charge by the hour so there always happy when I can whip it out quick!!!

It's not so easy deciding what colour different flowers actually are. There are for example wild flowers called 'bluebells', but their colour is actually more of a violet-purple than true blue.
You have some interesting thoughts about colours here.

I'm still struggling to get over the room painting. The painter we hired took forever to paint one room and didn't do a great job. I think you did fine in a week.
