Father … now this man has real substance … my dad is the real deal … he is a real man … he can cook & bake with the best of them, he can (and has) built houses from scratch … he teaches, he lives, he loves, he listens, he learns (wow, maybe I should save those words for my L post) … he is still in love with my mother … and I have always know that I am unconditionally loved … even during my rebellious snotty teen aged years … He is an amazing role model … he has saved us from bears, given shelter to a family who lost their home, helped strangers, saved lives, rescued kids in a sinking boat … he has always provided us with stability, taught us how to be strong, to have a strong moral compass and strong work ethic …
Dad 1960
Family … my parents and my daughter are the most important people in my life … they are the reason I am who I am … they give me strength, they give me joy, they give me love and I return it in abundance …
DD, Dad & Mom (taken 2 days ago ... cheeky DD)
Faith … I have it … in my family and the strength of its bonds … in my daughter who is so strong in so many ways and in me …
Follow … did you know you can follow your own blog on BlogSpot? I tried it because I was bored and yup … it works, you can follow yourself … I just can’t figure out how to unfollow myself, which is what I want to do … because now I look all stuck-up and totally desperate for followers … in all truth, I am laughing at myself for my silliness!
I am playing Alphabe-Thursday with Jenny Matlock … for other fabulous F words; check out the McLinky links on her blog.

What wonderful photos, especially the older ones of your Dad. He sounds like a unique and amazing man. Nice F words.
Love the post and that last vintage shot in particular!!
I accidentally followed myself twice, and I eventually undid it, but I can't remember how.
FABULOUS FOTO of you FATHER! Excellent F post!!! Happy Alphabe-Thursday!
Go into "Manage Accounts" and click. All the blogs you follow will line up alphabetically. Go to your blog and click on "settings". From there you can unfollow! LOL. It happened to me, too when I was trying to follow a new follower of mine and accidently clicked on the wrong follow button.
Wonderful F words, btw.
I haven't been lured into Facebook, I just don't get it. Your Father seems like a great guy. You can tell the love you have for your family. Great F words. Oh, and I messed up and followed myself too LOL. I'd tell you how I stopped but I don't remember. Just keep fooling around with it eventually you will figure it out.
bravo bravo bravo!
you echo the sentiments of me, among many, i am certain. i consider myself rather savvy at the helm of a keyboard but facebook has proven to be not so easy...lol
ah well I twitter...if they want rambling, they can find it there with ease.. :)
love the Faith Father and Family...they are the best f's aren't they :) ?
Wonderful picture.... good F word. Father, mine means to the world to me.
I don't participate in Facebook. And your choices of F words is fantastic. Father, Family, Faith . . . wonderful!
You are so blessed to still have your dad. I was only 18 when mine passed away and we never got to be adult friends. I made some good friends on Twitter but don't use Facebook much, although it does keep me in contact with people I don't see much
your description of your father choked me up a bit...so many wonderful qualities...
your post is beautiful...heck..your blog is beautiful!
consider me your newest follower!
Hi Jo! When you are in your control panel look up in the top right hand corner and it will say followers and a number. Click on that and you can get into that control panel.
OK.
What a wonderful F word post.
The post about your Father almost made me cry. It was so well written and lovely. You should send him that. Really beautiful.
The found the rest of your observations very interesting!

Great F words - you didn't use Football though!!!
Great post, great pictures. I am on facebook but I am never on facebook. I prefer blogging just as you do so much more. When I do finally check out my facebook account I have oodles of request for food, animals, ect. and I don't even play the games.

Your Father loos so gentle with lovely smile.
Enjoyed your post. You are very fortunate.
I love old family photos, and these are wonderful. Your father sounds like an amazing man - saved from bears? Now that must be an interesting story. Great post. Kathy
Wonderful post...I do get a little tired of some of the facebook comments...but I like the quick chance to catch up with folks I don't see that often. Great "F" remembrances of father and family -ultimate in importance, of course!!!
Good Morning Jo,
What a loving post of your Father. I totally agree with your FB thoughts. I do have a FB page but am not faithful at keeping it up. It's a good thing because I don't take care of farm animals very well!! LOL
THanks for sharing with us and thanks for stopping by the farmhouse for a visit. We love having company!
I'm loving this post, especially the tribute to your father, and family, of course, means the world to me too.
As for Facebook, I don't go on it often..
Following, you must had figured out how to remove yourself, I don't see you there, but that part made me laugh..
Great F post, just FAB.
Love the photo of you & your daddy, there's something about a girl & her dad (any girl, any Dad)that brings a lump to my throat everytime.
It is because of fathers (and mothers) and family (siblings and cousins etc) that I do love facebook. It helps me stay connected to my far flung family and close friends. I think facebook is what you make it. For us it is the fastest way to send pictures and share important milestones like high school graduation parties and college acceptances and fun things like what our Christmas tree looks like. Things that we would normally do in person if we only lived closer.
Wow, you said it all!! I agree completely!

HI Jo...I'm just getting over here from my first post with Jennys Alphabet thingy. Thanks for stopping by. I love how we can meet so many more people this way,
Love your pics of you and you family, especially the cool daddy!
Vicki
What sweet things to say about your dad - he really sounds like THE man! They don't make many men, real men, like that nowadays. Which is such a shame.
I was into Farmville for about a month. It became my desire to have the best farm ever. Eventually I realized that it didn't MEAN anything! haha
Your post made me chuckle-- I followed myself, too! I was trying to explain over the phone how to follow someone's blog, and went through the steps with her, and before I knew it, I was following me! I have to say, I love using Facebook-- so many of my friends are super busy moms, and little tidbits of contact is better than no contact at all! And, I'm addicted to Scrabble!
Fabulous "F" post Jo! I did not like facebook at first until I found how to "become a fan " of many web sites and magazines, etc, that I enjoyed, and now I like to read their quick updates.
Your Dad looks like a special man --you are lucky to have him and you Mom still in your life.
Like the saying goes --Faith, Family and Friends!

Your dad sounds fabulous and I agree with you on the facebook thing...blogging is waaayyyy better.....
I wasn't much of a facebook person, but it is a good quick way to keep connected with people back home!
I had no idea that you could follow yourself, that's too funny!
Your blurb about your dad really made me smile.
Well done again Jo... it's why I don't Tweet...can't stand that one more little bit of knowlegde about where people are grabbing a coffee. Let's keep it real people...I I want to know what makes you tick in real life, face to face.
FANTABULOUS JO!! What a great poster you are... you should be following yourself...you're very interesting and I should follow you too but I am not sure how... so I have you on my blog so I can sneak in... a lot!!!
I should be working on some drawing orders, but wanted to read a couple more of your past posts :o) Love the photo of you and your dad when you were little. Too sweet.
Stay warm!
Blessings & Aloha!
I love how you wrote this post and the photos.
I did follow myself once too and didn't know how to get it off. lol.
