E is for ...

E is for ……

Empty …. As in my mind is somewhat empty on this topic … and somewhat uncomfortable … almost as if there is an elephant in the room … only the room is my mind …

Elegant … something I always wanted to be but have never managed to achieve … My Great Aunt Millicent was a very elegant woman… always dressed to perfection … a fashionista in her day … and she was so tall … with long legs that were lovely even into her last days … for some reason I associate elegance as something only the long and lean can achieve … not meant for the short & round like myself!

Eloquence … something else I dream of … the ability to speak with fluidity with clarity, wit, charm, humour … with an appropriate tone … the ability to move others …

Excellence … again, I try … I think I came real close in grade 2 when I wrote my Mr. Brown Goes to Town poem … then again there was that whole medal & certificate thing

Exposed … is how I feel at this moment … putting this out for a whole lot of people to read …

Excited … watching the Olympics, visiting the venues and soaking up the whole party vibe of the city …

Exit … stage left … leaving you with a few snaps of the dd & me in the city!!!

empty is a lot like my e word. because it takes a lot of effort to just come up with a word but yours are excellent!

I love your post! I've also longed for elegance too...but I'm more blue jeans, unpainted nails, short legs and paper plates. It works for me too! :)

How fun! Looks like you are having a great time. Love your E post. Elegance is definitely not my forte. I would love to look (or at least be able to dress) like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys. But I guess that wouldn't be practical working in a vet's office! Kathy

I completely understand you on the 'long and lean' - I've got the long part down, but not so much with the lean. C'est la vie, I suppose!

Hi Jo - I read your comment over at Erica's blog re: scrapbooking community - have you tried Scrapbooking Fanatics? Nice to see your pics of Vancouver's Olympic goings-on - it's such a good time, isn't it?! Cheers!

Jo, no wonder your mind feels empty, although an elephant fills it up well, there ain't much room for anything else. I hope you can clear the old guy out.

As for elegance, I too picture long lean women, but I see elegance with you, so you've shattered my beliefs. and Eloquence, you have it in spades my dear.
