the elephant in the room ...

... no ... not that one ....

this one ... you know ... the one made of paper ...

truth is ... i had no idea what to write about this week ... and Mona Lisa has been begging me lately for an elephant ... she says she misses the jungle ... which as you all know isn't quite true ... cuz she has never been to the jungle

"But i have", she exclaims, "in my mind i have ridden many a gentle elephant into the deep ... and out in the plains, through highlands and lowlands and into the sea  ... even  through gossamere cities in the clouds above us" ...  so who am I to deny her the simple wish of an elephant ... and besides that i still can't think of an E topic for this week, so i will let the little monkey speak for me ...

and oh yes, she is still in her tutu ... quite the little princess at times!

This post has been brought to you by the letter E and the fabulous Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday meme ... check it out, there are bound to be many many many charming posts!

oh, and if you want your own paper elephant, just print off the pattern here ... courtesy of the Curiosity Group.

I love the elephant. It is so good of you make it for Mona Lisa. I bet when she looks at it she remembers her ride on one.

My sister loves all things elephant. If thing requires glue, you know what my first project is gonna be, right? I can't wait to see what the princess wears for Halloween! (A costume that begins with a G would make next week so much easier for you.)

I love your elephant in the room! I have a friend who can do what you do. I can't, but that is o.k., because others can, and that is what is important!!

The paper elephant is amazing. I've tried to make things out of paper before, and my fingers just don't work. I always rip it. Yours, however, is amazing.
Hope Mona enjoys her elephant ride. :-)

Oh...I am smiling here.

She is elegant and serene upon her giant stead.

Our youngest Grand is into elephants right now (they are learning the letter "E" at school) so I am going to print this out and make it with her tomorrow.

Thanks for this totally sweet link to Alphabe-Thursday.

You really made me grin!

A+
