From Wicked to Wonderful and little bits in between …

Wicked

I don’t know why but I feel positively Wicked when ever I watch this video … I burst into laughter and that is just so Wrong … I dare ya to Watch it!

No kitties were hurt (well except for that slap) in the making of this video … this is actually an outtake from and ice-cream ad campaign by Lake Street Creamery. Check out their blog, they have the real commercial posted on the home page and it is uber cute!

Wellness

Back to me here people … afterall these Alphabe-Thursday posts are supposed to be and ABC of me in blog and book for …. Do I have your attention??? Okay, wellness … I am so sick of not being well … I have been off work now for 15 years due to ill health … and I have been working on my health its just that as soon as one issue is resolved another one pops up, and another one, and another one … so as of today … drastic measures …. I am swearing off of salt … I am a saltaholic so it’s going to be tough … but I was thinking … salt is used to cure/dry meat … I Wonder what it is doing to me and my inside bits …. So it’s gone … and so is sugar … gone gone gone gone gone.

West

I am a West … It’s my last name … I am totally proud of it despite the fact that there have been some evil West’s in the world, the Wicked Witch being the most notorious! (that's 2 wicked's in one post)

I almost never married my husband because he wanted me to take his name, no hypen, nothing … just toss West to the side … okay so that marriage lasted 13 years too long … (this might be the third wicked)

Wonderful

Life really is wonderful … well except for the not so wonderful bits … the fact that we are granted life is really quite a miracle … celebrate it and recognize as such daily!

Where I create

I am totally blaming PJ for this bit … I believe that she once asked me if I have a dedicated space to create … Well I do … it’s on one of those Costco fold up tables with some uber inexpensive shelves and fixtures from Ikea …. And a whole lot of wicked (4) mess under the table … oh yeah, in the corner of my tiny basement along with bikes, books and a bunch of stuff that I stock up on …

such a messy messy desk

I clean my desk before i start each new project ... I really dont live in chaos unless i am in the moment ....

And if you want to see some amazingly gorgeous spaces/studios where bloggers create, take look at all of the blogs linked to this blog party hosted by My Desert Cottage … some people have truly inspiring studios!

Whew!

This post is much longer that I had intended … and not totally about me … but I hope you paid attention … Next week, there just might be an almost final eXam ….

As always this post has been brought to you by the letter W and Jenny Matlock’s incredibly fabulous Alphabe-Thursday meme … go visit her blog links to some interesting and amusing W posts!

Peace Love & Paper ~ Jo

Happy W day! My husband went on a low-sodium diet! Make sure to read labels--salt's in everything. I found that lemon and chile pepper can help bring out the flavor in food as a salt substitute.

Wicked good post :) The video cracked me up, so I guess I'm wicked too. If you're trying to cut out salt, try Mrs. Dash seasoning, it's pretty good and there are alot of varieties. Kathy

Loved the kitty commerical and out take.

I stopped addding salt to recipes and my food many years ago. It's really an acquired taste because I no longer like salt. When we go out to eat everything tastes salty to me. Salt is already in so many foods anyway. I try and buy low salt items whenever possible. I hope your health improves on your new low salt/no salt diet.

Jo, that video is adorable. I love the cat in the hat!

And I loved how we all blame PJ for stuff. She is such an ornery little thing.

And I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I use too much salt as well. I had to give up sugar and flour and somehow giving up salt, too, seems like something I should be doing! I'm glad you're working on getting well, though. You are too wonderful to be without.

Did you see all those "W's"?

Every week I am excited to stop here...you never cease to amaze me!

Thank you!

And...

A+

I think every space that we create will always be a clean but will get messy when we create - that is the beauty of creating - to be surrounded by chaos of your thoughts and the things that you are making

I can sympathize and empathize with your suffering...it is a pain in the arse, yet forces us to find ways to cope and grow nonetheless. Such a cool and honest post...I like it...Peace and blessings

OMG, that video was too funny. I'm glad the kitten survived. I know about health issues. The older one gets the more that seems to creep up on you. Good luck with cutting out sugar and salt. Great W words.

I enjoyed this post, tid bits about a lot of stuff. Wonderful! I'm totally jealous of you having your own space to create. In a house full of males, and packrat men, all three of them, space is hard to come by. And thank you so much for stopping by at Life is Good.

When one of my boys leaves home, I am going to create my own space. At the moment, my house is just too crowded.

I loved the video :)

That poor kitty!

Nice W post! Giving up salt and sugar? I'd starve to death. Well done you!

This was a riot! No sugar. No salt. Ew! My favorite part? The before and after photos of your work space. I love watching chaos turn into harmony.

I had to watch the kitty video maybe 3 or 4 times...just trying to figure out where was the slap coming from? ...still couldnt figure that out...

Ah you did cover a lot of "W" here :o) Hope you start feeling better!!! I love salty and sweet stuff!

Ohhh, your work space looks awesome! really impressed that you always start off so neat and organized! I keep thinking that some day, I will have a whole room for all my sewing, quilting, crafting, drawing, etc.... right now, I tend to pull whatever I am working on, into the living room and then store them away in various drawers, cubbies, shelves, etc!

Blessings & Aloha!
(& thank you so much for stopping by! I love to find your comments! And so happy that you find the artwork I do interesting :o)
