Erica, of course you got it, you are like the google search queen!!! A rak will be on your shelf at the Patch! And the Mangosteen ... kind of a subtle, soft, sweet but not sweet kinda taste and the purple exterior ... you need a real good knife to get through it.

since the 16th ~ part 1

Just some random photos since the 16th ... i've been busy, but i really have to amp up my blog posting, i dont like cramming a bunch of photos onto my blog without at least one or two little stories to tell .... but that will have to do for a while ... so here's what i have been up to ... In no particular order ...


Awwwwe, sunny skies ... life is good!


Not so sunny skies ... waiting for H ... in the dark ... and in a monsoon of sorts ... shooting through the windshield ...


Sunny skies ... again! and Honey can finally breakout her denim skirt and fave spring top! (like she even has a choice in the matter lolz)


Yummy??? What is it??? Why did i buy it??? Why am i now afraid to eat it??? ... hey a cool RAK to the first person to identify this mystery fruit ... which must be in season in Thailand because I saw it at a couple of stalls at Granvile Island ... oh yeah ... I went to Granville Island with my DD, we had fun ... it rained...



a little sneak peak of my June card class for Pick of the Patch. 7 gypsies, glimmer mist, vintage sewing patterns ... really they are seriously vintage, circa 80's judging by the picture on the package. I picked up the little hand felted balls from Woolly Fabulous... btw love her brooches ... uber cool & she uses recycled materials!

I'm baaaaack!

No, I didn't go anywhere ... but since the fabulous Sandra W introduced me to Facebook I have been hanging out there. I'm totally hooked on one of their games so i check in and play round after round of Scarab Solitaire ... and I am doing this because my scrap room still isnt put back together after painting and every time I look at it i get all stressed ... so i just play another couple of rounds of the game. Bad bad me ... but if you happen to wander over to facebook look me up ... and look up "Pick of the Patch Scrapbooking" and become a fan, you will get daily posts on whats going on at Pick of the Patch. And speaking of Pick of the Patch, Sandra just got in a whole ton of the Basic Grey bling, it's fun, it's colourful and it's inexpensive ... and I'm loving the coloured pearls! Also brand new in are the two new Collage Press lines, "Knave of Hearts" and "Sweet Shoppe" ... totally my fave releases so far this year ... they totally speak to me!

And remember that picture of Diane acting goofy I was going to post ... well, her she is, in all her glory ... Diane at the last Scrapaholics coffee meeting ...


Oh ... and Guess who's going to be published in the Fall 09 issue of Canadian Scrapbooker magazine??? .... ME!!! (insert image of Jo doing the "happy dance" right here) ... as my Daughter would say ... LOLZ

insomnia ....

... to awake to sleep and too tired to do anything ... 'cept surf ... and post ...

So I went to the Scrapaholics coffee meetup tonight .... don't know why we call it coffee, we mostly all go for dinner ... it was tres fun! Caught Diane being her usual fun self ... picture coming later, my batteries are dead ...

H didn't get off work till 10:30 tonight ... so between her two jobs she put in a 13 hour day ... she's sleeping like a baby right now ...

... oh and adventures in reassembling my newly painted place ... thinking i'm really strong but in reality that's not quite the case ... i tried to hang a cabinet in the bathroom ... oooops!!!! dropped it ... luckily i didn't damage the new paint job, unluckily (hey that's a real word according to spellcheck, but spellcheck isn't a real word) i broke both doors off of it ... so now ... its just a shelf

Brenna's Birthday crop on friday night at Pick of the Patch was loads of fun ... and there was cake ... and photo ops ... it's all good ... I actually managed to get two layouts done. Both with the newest Basic Grey lines, one with Lime Rickey and the other with Wisteria ... the Wisteria layout was uber simple, but sometimes simple just rocks my little scrapbooking heart .... so here they are ...

Oh, speaking of Pick of the Patch ... they are now on Facebook and Twitter ... look for them as Pick of the Patch Scrapbooking ... maybe I will see you there :) Take care all, I'm off to play Mahjong on line ... not quite ready for sleep yet .... thanks for stopping by!

feeling kind of ......

yup, that's me today .... feeling kind of prickly .... and mopey .... have been busy packing up the house so the painters can take over tommorrow ... I had to run out yesterday for a couple of hours and when i got back home, H had packed up my entire scrap room and moved it in to the garage ... and yup ... thats when those prickly mopey feelings started ...sigh ... so today ... laundry .... more packing ... and more disassembling ....

on the happier side, i pulled a name for the proverbial hat, and Susan ... you win the easter buttons ... and another little surprise as well!
