It's Alphabet Thursday, and I am joining in on the letter L ... my word for L is love ...
Is love truly all we need? I think … more than food, more than water, or shelter … we
need love. Close your eyes and try
to imagine living without this precious commodity … think of going through life
without someone to love … be it a partner, friend or family member … just
imagine how much more difficult life would be without someone to love, and
someone who loves you back. Truly,
no man is an island … we all need
someone, or even something to love. We have pets, to care for and love, and
they love us back, and they can improve our well being just by loving
them. Think of the fictional Chuck
Noland and the object of his love, Wilson … Wilson kept him going, kept him somewhat sane … and in all probability,
kept him alive …
I cannot possibly imagine a life without love, so it saddens
me that so many do not have it to give or receive … I think of the hundreds and
hundreds of children stuck in the foster care system, going through life
without the love of a parent … children in far away countries, parents dead,
and trying to survive the world alone, animals stuck in kennels at the local
animal shelter.
So think of love, and act with kindness towards those that
are unfortunate enough to not be able to experience this most amazing state of
being …
… she loves you
ya ya ya …
I love these two!!! |

Love - it's huge. If you are surrounded by it, held up by it, wrapped in it you can take it for granted. When it's threatened it's pretty scary.
I am blessed to have love in my life! Your blog reminds me of words from 1 Corinthians 13 in the Bible - Faith, Hope, Love ...and the greatest of these is LOVE!
You are such a loving friend, Jo. And your two loves' photo is wonderful.
My love to you,
Judie
Love is essential. What I find so sad is people who have love in their lives and either don't recognize it or take it for granted...
Great *L* post – totally endorse all the wise words above!
Have a great Alphabe-Thursday and look forward to *seeing* you again,
Alphabe-Thursday
Great "L" post Jo! beautiful photo of your "loves".
Love truly makes my life better.
lovely reminder to love those around us! I too feel pain at the thought of unloved children, unloved pets...
great pic!
So thankful for the love I've known. Thanks for a reminder.
Dana
with out we are nothing
All you need is love, so right. Difficult to go without it.
Hi Jo,
A wonderful post for our letter this week. Yes, all we need is love ... and maybe a little lavender to go with that :-) Your blog is so beautiful.
Beautiful, and thoughtful post, Jo! I agree that the greatest thing in the world is LOVE!
I very much doubt that I only could live from love if I had no food, water, or shelter … As my grandma said : You can't live from love only (that's also proverb)there is also another one, "love goes throught the stomac", lol !
I love your photo of your sweet loves :o) & I am so thankful and blessed for the loves in my life.
Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you my dear friend, so very much for your lovely visit, your sweet well wishes on our upcoming 30th & we are looking forward to the other family celebrations ahead...after being away from blogland, I was wondering if anyone would still stop by my place!)
Yes, you made some very good points.
Hello Jo.
I am a poet who eats, breathes, lives love. I exist in the image of love...it's what I know, what I write about and who I am. When all life is withering and dying around us, love remains eternal.
Lovely photos & thought-provoking post.
Thanks for sharing. Thanks also for your visit & comment.
Love Has Seeped Into My Heart
"Love is All You Need"... Great Beatles song...
